Shree Ramdev Moulding Works

If you look for Plot No. 992-1-13 in the GIDC Ind. Estate, you’ll find us at Shree Ramdev Moulding Works. The main thing you’ll notice is the heat from the moulding machines. It’s part of the job, especially in the middle of the day. We’ve got the moulds stacked up on shelves, and they’re heavy as lead. Every time we switch a job, it takes a couple of us to move them and get the machine set up again. It’s a lot of repetitive work, watching the parts come out of the machines and checking them for flaws. I usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things from getting too dull. We make all sorts of plastic components for different industries. It’s not fancy, but everything we make is needed for something else to work. We’ve been in this plot for quite a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the estate. The water delivery truck comes by once a day, and the tea guy is always on time. That’s how we mark the hours. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just take raw material, heat it up, and push it into a shape. It’s a basic process but it requires a lot of attention so nothing catches fire or melts wrong. We just keep our heads down and get the counts finished by the end of the shift. It is a steady way to live.
