Newton Engineering Chemicals Ltd. is located at Plot No. 864-b-4 in the GIDC Ind. Estate. Our work involves a lot of drums, tanks, and mixing vessels. It is a bit different from the metal shops nearby because we have to be much more careful about spills and ventilation. The floor is coated to protect it, and we spend a fair amount of time checking seals and valves. It’s not a glamorous place to work, but it is steady. The office part of the building is mostly just for keeping the logs and the safety data sheets that we have to have on hand. We wear aprons and gloves for most of the day, which can be uncomfortable when the weather is humid, but you just get used to it. The neighbors in the estate are mostly friendly, and we sometimes borrow tools from each other if something breaks down. We don't really have a sales team that goes out to find work. Most of our orders come from people who have been using our products for years. We just focus on getting the mixtures right and making sure the containers are labeled correctly before they go out on the truck. The road outside is a bit narrow, so loading the bigger lorries can be a bit of a struggle sometimes, but we manage to make it work.
