We are right here at number 12, Om Bunglow, which most people know because it is behind the new police station on Gotri Road. It is a pretty easy spot to find if you are coming from near Vraj Bhumi. This place started as a way to give local kids somewhere to go during the day, and it has grown quite a bit since then. We have the air conditioning running all day because it gets so hot in Vadodara, and it keeps the little ones from getting too cranky while they are here. It really does feel more like a home than a school sometimes, probably because it is actually a bungalow. You can hear children laughing or doing activities throughout the morning. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily routine, making sure everyone is fed and doing their lessons. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, except when parents are dropping off their kids. We have different rooms for various ages and there is always something going on in the activity center. It is not a fancy corporate building, just a regular place where we look after children while their parents are at work. People around here know us well, and we have been part of this Gotri Road community for a while now. It is busy and sometimes a bit loud, but that is just how it goes with kids around. We just focus on getting through the day and making sure the children have what they need.
