About Liberty Framing Center – Shipping in Vadodara
I run Liberty Framing Center over in Dandia Bazar, Vakola. The shop is right opposite the Rajdhuri Hotel. Framing is a slow business. You have to be careful with the glass and the wood. One wrong cut and you have to start all over again. I’ve got stacks of different frame moldings leaning against the walls. The smell of sawdust and glue is pretty much always there. People bring in all kinds of things to get framed. Sometimes it’s a family photo, other times it’s a piece of art or a diploma. I spend a lot of time at my big wooden table with my ruler and cutter. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit cluttered when I have a few big orders at once. Dandia Bazar is an old part of town, so it feels familiar. I know most of the people who walk past the front door every day. The hotel across the street brings in some different faces now and then. I don’t use any big machines, just a few manual tools that I’ve had for years. My eyes get a bit tired from the close work toward the evening, but that's just part of it. It’s nice when a customer sees their picture all finished and put together. It makes the long hours of measuring and fitting feel worth it. We don't have a lot of space for customers to wait, so most people just drop their things off and come back later.
