At Kusum Automation Sensors & Pvt Ltd, we are tucked away in the Makarpura area, specifically at 1st Main 9th Cross. Our address is 78/1/Z/3, which sounds like a lot of numbers, but once you find the crossroad, we are easy to spot. We work with sensors and different kinds of automation equipment. It involves a lot of small parts and very thin wires. My workbench is usually a mess of little plastic bags and bits of copper. We are not a massive factory with hundreds of people. It is a small space where we assemble things and test them out. Sometimes we can spend half a day just trying to figure out why one sensor isn't working the way it should. It can be a bit frustrating, but that is the nature of the job. We don't wear uniforms or suits. We just wear regular clothes that might get a little solder on them now and then. The area around our shop is full of other small businesses. You can always hear the sounds of someone welding or grinding something nearby. We mostly stay inside because the sensor components need to be kept away from too much dirt. It isn't like the heavy machine shops where everything is covered in oil. Our work is more about small movements and being patient. We drink plenty of tea while we wait for the machines to finish their tests. The 9th cross is narrow, so parking can be a bit of a problem. We just keep our heads down.
