We are located in the Bhilodia MIDC area of Bhosari, right across the street from Hotel Ramdev. This part of town is always full of trucks and the sound of heavy industry. Our shop is where we take apart engines and put them back together again. It’s a heavy job, and we use a lot of overhead hoists to move the big blocks around. The floor is made of thick concrete to handle the weight, but it’s still got plenty of chips and oil marks. We don’t have much of a front office, just a small corner with a desk and a computer that is usually covered in a fine layer of dust. The noise from the other factories in the MIDC is constant, so we don’t really notice it anymore. We spend our days with wrenches in our hands and grease under our fingernails. Sometimes an engine is so old we have to search everywhere for the right parts, or even make something ourselves. It’s satisfying when a machine finally coughs back to life after being broken for weeks. We have a couple of old fans that just move the hot air around, but we stay busy enough that we don’t think about the heat too much. People from all over Bhosari bring their equipment here because they know we’ve been doing this for a long time. It’s honest, hard work, and we just keep at it.
