Our spot is right across from the Panigate Depo, so we hear the buses coming and going all day long. It is at B/6 on Ajwa Road, specifically on the I B Patel Road stretch. It is a very active area, which I like because there is always something to look at out the window when I take a break. The depot being so close means we get a lot of travelers passing by, some looking for a place to sit or asking where the next bus goes. The office itself is pretty plain and simple. We have the usual stuff like a few tables, some old files, and a calendar that is usually a month behind because we forget to flip it. We have been here long enough that the walls could probably tell some stories if they could talk. Dealing with the dust from the road is a constant battle, but that is just life on Ajwa Road. We are not trying to impress anyone with a lobby or fancy coffee machines. We just have a kettle in the back and some chairs that have seen better days. It is an honest place where we get our work done. Sometimes the noise from the bus horns gets a bit much, but then it goes quiet for a while and you can actually hear the birds in the trees. We just take it one day at a time here, helping whoever walks in through the door.
