Khalsa Machine Tools

Khalsa Machine Tools is based over at 174 Vadsar. It’s a straightforward machine shop where we handle various types of tool work for different folks. The building itself is pretty basic, just a place for us to keep our lathes and milling machines out of the rain and sun. We aren't big on appearances here; we care more about whether the machines are running smoothly and accurately. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil and metal scraps, but that’s just a sign that we’re actually working. Vadsar is a decent area for this kind of business, and we’ve made a lot of friends among the other shop owners nearby over the years. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy or a human resources department. It’s just a few of us who really know how to work the machines. When a customer comes in with a broken part or a new requirement, we just look at it and see what can be done. There isn't a lot of paperwork involved beyond the basics of taking an order. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if someone is in a real hurry, and other times it’s a bit quieter and we can catch up on cleaning the gear and tools. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or try to sound bigger than we are. We just show up, open the shutters, and get to work every morning. It’s a practical life, and we like the feeling of making something with our own hands at the end of the day.
