Kalinga Machine Tools

Kalinga Machine Tools is situated right on Lalbaug Road, near where it meets Laheripura New Road. It is a busy intersection and there is always a lot of movement outside. We have been working out of this location for several years now. The shop is filled with all kinds of machinery and parts that we deal with daily. It’s a bit loud sometimes because of the traffic and the machines, but we don't really notice it anymore. We start our day by checking the machines and making sure everything is in order. The space isn't huge, so we have to be careful about where we put things so we don't trip over anything. Most of our days are spent talking to local mechanics or factory workers who need something specific. We don't put on any acts here. If we have it, we tell you, and if we don't, we see if we can get it. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them and there is usually a radio playing softly in the background. Lalbaug Road is a good place to be because everything is close by. We see the same tea seller every afternoon and the same neighbors heading home. It feels like a small community even though it's a busy street. We just focus on the machines and getting through the list of things to do before we close up.
