Kahar Satish Mohan

Our place, Kahar Satish Mohan, is located in the Shukrawar Peth area of Vadodara. We are right opposite Vishvakarma Colony. It is an old part of the city, and you can feel that when you walk around. The streets are narrow and the buildings are close together. We have a small space here that we’ve used for a long time. It’s not much to look at. The floor is made of old stone and the windows are small. But it keeps the heat out during the summer. We handle our daily business here without any fuss. We don’t have a marketing department or a fancy logo. Most of the people who come by are from the colony across the street. We know most of them by name. It is a friendly kind of place. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool and chat with the passersby. The traffic in Shukrawar Peth can be a mess in the evenings. We usually try to get our main work done before the rush starts. We aren't a big corporation. It is just us doing what we know how to do. The desk is covered in old notebooks and pens. We still use a lot of paper. It just feels safer that way. We don't have any big goals other than keeping things running smoothly. It’s a quiet life for the most part.
