Kadia Khalidhusain

My name is Kadia Khalidhusain. You can find me on the Dabhoi Nashik Road, right opposite the Tower in Dabhoi. The Tower is a landmark around here, so most people don’t have any trouble finding my place. I’ve lived and worked in Dabhoi for a long time. It’s a small town feel compared to the big cities, and I like that. My office is right on the main road. It’s a simple setup. I have a desk, some chairs, and my records. There’s no big sign or flashing lights. I don’t think you need all that to run a good business. People come here because they know me and they know I’ll give them a fair deal. The road outside can get a bit dusty and noisy with the traffic going towards Nashik, but that’s just how it is. I spend my days meeting with local people and handling their requests. I don’t use any complicated systems. I just write things down and make sure I don’t forget anything. It’s a very traditional way of working, but it has served me well over the years. I’m not interested in becoming a big corporation. I just want to keep doing my work here in Dabhoi, across from the Tower, and helping my neighbors with what they need. Sometimes the days are long, but I enjoy the routine and the familiar faces that come through my door on the Nashik Road regularly.
