Jyoti Glass Crockery

We are based out of Shop C-5 in the GIDC area. It’s located right at Chaar Rasta inside the Viral Chamber. Being at a four-way crossing means there is always something going on outside. The noise from the trucks and cars is constant. Inside the shop, things are a bit different. We deal with a lot of glass and crockery, so we have to be careful how we move around. There are boxes piled up almost to the ceiling in some corners. We spend a lot of our time bubble-wrapping items and checking for cracks. It’s a bit of a dusty job, to be honest. You wouldn’t think glass gets that dusty, but in GIDC, everything does. We use old newspapers and cardboard to keep things safe. The shelves are packed with plates, bowls, and all sorts of glassware. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific piece, but we usually know which pile it's in. It’s mostly just us here, moving crates and talking to the drivers who come to pick things up. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a functional space. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight for most of us. We just keep our heads down and try not to break anything. It’s a simple business and we’ve been at this spot for a good while now.
