Joshi Yogesh A

My name is Yogesh A Joshi. I work out of C/9 on Ajwa Road, right in the Peenya Industrial Estate. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not the prettiest place to spend your day. There’s a lot of dust from the trucks passing by and the constant sound of machines running in the nearby units. We are right opposite the Dabhoi Dasalad Wadi. My office is basically a concrete box with a heavy metal door. I have a big desk and a few filing cabinets that have seen better days. It gets very noisy during the shift changes when all the workers head home. The smell of grease and metal is always in the air around here. I’ve been in this estate for years. I know the guys in the other units, and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoon when things slow down. The walls inside C/9 are painted a dull grey, which hides the dirt well. I don’t have any decorations on the walls, just a clock that’s five minutes fast. It’s a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat, but it’s where the real work happens. You won't find any soft carpets or fancy lights here. Just hard floors and a lot of focus on the task at hand. I get here early before the sun gets too high and stay until the last truck leaves.
