Joshi Rajesh Pranjivan

I have been working here at 21 Vadodara 7th Cross for a while now. It is on the first floor of Yogeshwar Apartment 1 in Lakshmi Layout. Most days I get in early and open the windows because it gets a bit stuffy in the mornings. There is a lot of noise from the street below but you get used to it after a few weeks. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so I tell people to watch their step when they come up. I’ve lived in Vadodara most of my life and moving into this spot in Lakshmi Layout made sense for what I do. Rajesh and I keep things pretty simple here. We have a couple of desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. The light in the afternoon hits the front window just right, though it does get hot. I usually keep a fan running all day long to keep the air moving. People find us okay once they see the sign for Yogeshwar Apartment. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where things get done. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat about the local news or the weather. It is a quiet enough building most of the time. We don't have a lot of extra space, but it fits what we need for the day-to-day work. The 7th Cross is busy during lunch hour with everyone heading out to eat. We just stay here and keep at it until the day is over.
