You can find us in the Sayajigun area, specifically at the Upkar Society in Odhavpura, near Ellora Park. We are right opposite the Stock Exchange, which means we get a lot of people in shirts and ties coming over for a break. We are also close to the Blue Cheep Complex. Our tea stall is a small, open setup where we keep the milk boiling and the tea leaves steeping most of the day. It’s a simple routine of pouring tea into small glasses and handing them out. We also keep some biscuits and snacks in glass jars on the counter. The morning rush is the most intense because everyone wants their first cup before they go into the office or the exchange. There is a lot of chatter and the sound of spoons hitting the sides of pots. We don't have a lot of space, so people just stand around the stall or lean against the wall nearby. The pavement outside is usually a bit wet from us cleaning the glasses. It is a very basic business, just making tea the way people like it. We’ve seen many people come and go from the Stock Exchange over the years. We stay in our spot, keeping the stove going from early morning until the sun goes down. It is honest work and we enjoy the daily talk with our regular customers who stop by every single day.
