If you drive down Padra Road, you will eventually hit number 42, which is where I spend most of my waking hours. My name is Ashokbhai Chandulal Jansari, and I have been running things from this location for longer than I care to admit. Padra Road is one of those streets that never seems to sleep, so there is always a layer of dust on the windows no matter how often I wipe them down. The building is older, and the stairs creak a little when you walk up, but it has a solid feel to it. I keep a desk near the back where it is a bit quieter so I can focus on the paperwork. Sometimes the tea stall guy from down the street brings over a cup in the afternoon, which is the best part of the day. There is no big sign out front with flashing lights, just a simple door. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have known me for years. We talk about the weather or the traffic before we even get to business. It is a slow way of doing things compared to the big companies, but it suits me just fine. The space is small, and sometimes the fan makes a clicking sound that drives me crazy, but it is my space. I like being on Padra Road because everything you need is just a short walk away. It makes life easier when you are busy.
