Jadav Bhavin Dahya

I’m Bhavin Dahya Jadav. I’ve been at 12/A Nizampura for a long time now. The building is old and the walls could use some paint, but it’s home. I remember when this street was much busier with cycles than cars. Now there are scooters everywhere and the chai wallah at the corner is always crowded. I usually get here around nine and unlock the front shutter. It makes a loud grinding noise that everyone on the block knows. Inside, it’s just a simple desk and some chairs. My father used to say that a place doesn't need to be fancy to be useful. We have a small window that looks out onto the back alley. Sometimes I see the stray cats sleeping on the sun-baked bricks. It gets hot in the afternoons, so I keep the fan running at full speed. People stop by just to say hello or ask for directions because everyone knows where 12/A is. It’s not a big operation, just me and occasionally a cousin helping out when things get piled up. I’ve thought about moving to a newer building with better light, but then I think about the walk I take every morning. The cracks in the pavement and the smell of the nearby bakery are part of my life now. It’s a simple setup here in Nizampura, but it works for what we do every day. Nothing fancy, just honest work in a place that’s seen better days but still stands strong.
