Hotel Panchsheel

Our place is at 5 R.C. Dutt Road, right across from the Officers Colony. It is a decent part of town, and we’ve been here long enough that most the neighbors know us by sight. The building has a bit of age to it, but it holds up well. We get a lot of people coming in who are doing business nearby or visiting folks in the colony. It’s not a flashy spot, but we like it that way. The street outside can get a little congested during rush hour, but it usually settles down in the evenings. We handle the day-to-day work ourselves, from checking people in to making sure the hallways are clear. You won't find any high-tech gadgets or fancy uniforms here. We just use old-fashioned keys and keep a ledger. Sometimes the elevator makes a weird noise, but it’s reliable enough for our needs. Most of our guests are looking for a place that feels familiar and doesn't cost a fortune. We’ve had the same curtains in the lobby for a while now, and the furniture is well-worn but comfortable. It’s the kind of place where you can just sit and read the paper without anyone bothering you. Life on R.C. Dutt Road moves at its own pace. We just try to provide a steady spot for whoever happens to be passing through. It's a simple operation, run by people who live right here in the city and care about the neighborhood.
