Hotel Majboor

Out here in Manjusar, things are a bit quieter than in the middle of Vadodara city. We are located in the Savli Taluka area. It’s more of an industrial and rural mix around here. The hotel sits right in the middle of it all. Most of the people who stop by are working in the nearby factories or just passing through the taluka. It’s a practical location for them. We don’t have those bright neon lights or anything like that. Just a sign and the building. The winds can get a bit dusty across the open land in Manjusar. We spend a lot of time wiping down tables and chairs because of that. It’s a honest day’s work. My family helps out mostly. We don’t have a massive staff like the places in the city. You get to know the truck drivers and the local workers who come in daily. They just want a place to sit for a minute. The roads around here are okay, but they get busy with heavy vehicles. We’ve been in this spot for some time now. You learn to live with the pace of the countryside. It’s not fast, but it’s steady. We focus on just having the doors open and the lights on. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but we manage. That’s just how it goes when you’re out in a place like Savli. We don't put on any airs here.
