You can find us at B-64 in Shankuntal Park, which is right behind Shreyas School in the Manjalpur area of Baroda. It’s a pretty easy location to spot once you get into the neighborhood. We’ve been running Hotel Jal Sagar as a private limited setup, but it feels more like a local guest house than some big chain. The school kids are always making noise during their breaks, which lets us know exactly what time it is without looking at a clock. We have a lot of regulars who stay with us when they are in Gujarat for work or to visit family. The building is a bit older, and we’re always fixing something, whether it’s a leaky tap or a light that won't stay on. That’s just part of owning a place like this. My family and I are usually around, making sure people have what they need. We don't have a massive kitchen with a chef in a tall hat; it’s more about simple meals and a clean bed. Baroda is a nice city, and Manjalpur is a good, solid place to be. We don't do much advertising. People mostly hear about us from their friends or just see our sign when they’re passing Shankuntal Park. We just try to keep the rooms tidy and the guests happy enough to come back next time they are in town.
