Harsh Residency

I’m one of the people working here at Harsh Residency. You’ll find us on Padra Road, right opposite the Shreeji Bungalows. It’s a pretty well-known spot in this part of town. Working here is interesting because you see a lot of people coming and going. Padra Road is always moving. Across the street, the bungalows look nice and quiet, which is a big contrast to the main road. I spend most of my time in the main office area. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel, not like those sterile places you see in magazines. We have a few chairs for visitors and a desk that’s seen better days. I usually start the morning by sweeping out the dust that blows in from the road. The neighbors are mostly other local businesses and families. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the faces that pass by every day. It’s a practical place to work. We don't have any mission statements or anything like that. We just try to keep the residency running and help out whoever stops by. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic, but you get used to it after a while. It’s a straightforward job in a straightforward location. We like it here because it feels like a real part of the community. Sometimes the gate squeaks when it opens, but we just oil it and move on.
