We are based out at the Kadipani site for the fluorspar project. It’s not in a city, so things are a bit different here. Navrangpura is the closest area people might recognize, but we are right where the mining happens. It’s dusty, that’s the first thing anyone notices when they visit us. Everything has a thin layer of gray dust on it no matter how much we clean. The office is basically a functional building near the project site. We spend most of our time in boots and hard hats. It’s a long way from the comforts of a town office. We eat lunch together in a communal area, usually whatever the local mess has prepared that day. The heat can get pretty intense during the summer months, so we start the day very early to get the bulk of the work done before noon hits. It’s a tough environment but the people here are solid and they don't complain much. We don’t have much in the way of fancy tech, just the essentials to keep the project moving and the minerals being processed. There’s a sense of isolation sometimes, being so far out, but you get used to the quiet nights. We don't do much talking about big goals. We just focus on the rocks and the output for the day. It’s honest work in a rugged place. Most of us have been out here for years and wouldn't know what to do in a city.
