Goswami Lata Sukhdev

My name is Lata Sukhdev and I handle the work here at 1 Vadodara, right by the 2nd Cross. We are located inside the Vaikunth Shopping Center. It’s a busy place with a lot of shops, so there is always noise and people walking past the windows. I like being in the shopping center because everything we need is close by. We’ve been in this unit for quite a few years now. The space is a bit small, but we’ve organized it so everything has its place. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan that keeps things moving. I usually get here before the other shops open to have some quiet time. We do a lot of different things throughout the day, mostly just staying on top of the orders and talking to the people who come in. Vadodara is a good place to be, and the 2nd Cross is easy for most people to find. We don't have any big corporate plans. We just want to do our work and go home to our families at the end of the day. The Vaikunth Shopping Center has changed over time, with new shops coming and going, but we’ve stayed put. It feels like a little community here. Sometimes we share lunch with the shopkeepers next door. It’s a simple life and we are happy with how things are running right now in our small corner.
