Garvi Gurjari

Our place is in the Panorama Complex, specifically at 20/31. If you know where the Welcome Hotel is in Alkapuri, you’ve basically found us because we’re right across the way. It’s a nice area, quite a bit cleaner than some of the other parts of the city. Garvi Gurjari is what we call this little space. We’ve spent a lot of time getting the layout right, though it still feels a bit cluttered sometimes with all the things we have. The building has a lot of windows, so we get some decent sunlight in the mornings which is nice. Alkapuri is usually bustling with professionals and shoppers, so we see a variety of faces throughout the week. We aren't a big corporation with managers and different departments. It’s just us. We answer the phone, we sweep the floor, and we help anyone who comes through the door looking for something. Sometimes the elevator in the complex acts up, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. It’s good exercise, I guess, even if it's tiring. We don’t have a polished pitch for what we do. We just do it. The neighborhood is quiet on Sundays, which is when we usually catch up on all the paperwork. It’s a steady kind of life. We are just a local shop in a busy complex, trying to keep things moving. We don't need much more than that to stay happy.
