Durga Hotel

Durga Hotel is located right in the middle of Parul Society in Makarpura. We’ve been here for quite some time now, serving the people who live and work in this neighborhood. It’s not a big hotel like the ones you see in the city center, but it’s a place where you can find a room and a bit of peace. We started it as a family thing, and we still run it that way. You’ll usually see one of us behind the desk or helping out in the hallways. The building is older, so it has some quirks, like the occasional squeaky floorboard or a door that sticks a bit when it’s humid. We try to keep it clean and comfortable without making it look like something it’s not. Most of our guests are regulars who are in town for work at the nearby factories. They don't need fancy amenities, just a place to sleep and a hot meal. We know the area well, so if someone asks where to go for something, we can usually point them in the right direction. It gets busy during the shift changes in Makarpura, which keeps us on our toes. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone chips in with the cleaning and the cooking. It’s hard work, but we like being our own bosses and meeting all sorts of travelers. We just make sure the beds are made and the water is hot for when the next person arrives.
