Desai Varsha Rajendrakumar

Started out at B/5 in the Kiwale Housing Complex. It’s right there by the Mumbai Katraj Highway, so there’s always a bit of dust and a lot of noise from the trucks passing through Manjaipur. Most people find us because we’re across from the O N G C building. That’s a big landmark around here. Desai Varsha Rajendrakumar isn’t some big corporation. It’s just us. We’ve been in this spot for a long time now. The neighbors over at Vimal Society are good people. Sometimes the rain makes the highway traffic a real mess, but we still open up on time. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially with the sun hitting the front of the unit. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations. There’s a desk, some chairs, and the paperwork we deal with every day. People stop in because they know the name. It’s not about being the biggest on the block. We just do what needs to be done. Sometimes we run out of tea or the electricity goes out for an hour, but that’s just life in this part of town. If you’re driving down the highway, you might miss the turnoff if you aren't looking. Just look for the housing complex sign. We are usually here until late evening unless something comes up. It’s a plain place, but it works for what we do. No need for anything more than that.
