Dash Heavy Engg. Co. Pvt. Ltd. is found at 348, GIDC Estate, in the Por area, specifically Ramagandi. We’ve been out here in the GIDC for a long time. As the name says, we do heavy engineering, so our shop is full of large-scale equipment and big pieces of metal. It’s not a place for someone who likes to keep their clothes clean. There is oil, dust, and metal shavings pretty much everywhere you look, but that’s just the nature of heavy engineering. The estate in Por is always humming with the sound of other factories and trucks moving in and out. Our plot, 348, is a big open space where we can handle the larger projects that come our way. We don't have a fancy front office or a receptionist. Usually, if you come by, you’ll just find us out on the floor with the machines. We have a solid crew of guys who have been doing this for decades. We don't go in for much talk; we just look at the specs and get the fabrication started. It’s hard work and the days are long, especially when we are trying to get a big shipment ready. We don't really do any advertising. The industries around here know we are at Ramagandi and what kind of work we can handle. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living and we just keep working at it day after day.
