Creative Garments

Our workshop is located right near the Bhabhel Check Post at Survey No. 482. It’s a very handy spot for us because the trucks and delivery vans can find us without getting lost. We do a lot of sewing, cutting, and stitching here every single day. Creative Garments is the name on the door, but mostly we are just a group of regular people working with rolls of cloth. The machines are always running and you can hear the hum of the motors even from the road outside. We deal with all different types of fabrics depending on what the current order is. Some weeks it’s all cotton, and other times it’s something much heavier like denim or canvas. The floor is usually covered in scrap pieces of thread and small fabric clippings by the time we finish in the evening. We clean it all up and start fresh the next morning. It’s hard work, and the hours can get quite long when a big deadline is coming up fast. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to visit. It’s just a practical place where the actual work gets done. Most of the people working here live nearby in the area, so we’ve become like a little family over the years. We take our tea breaks together and talk about what’s going on at home. It’s a simple life for us and we just try to keep the business moving.
