Choco Exotica

Choco Exotica is our small shop over on Gotri Road, specifically at Versova 28. We’ve been here for a while, making chocolates and treats for the local neighborhood. It’s a modest little space, and we spend most of our time in the back working with the cocoa and sugar. We didn't start this with a big business plan or anything like that. It was more about wanting to make something people would enjoy eating. The shopfront isn't very large, so we have to be careful with how we display things. On hot days, we have to keep the air conditioning running full blast so nothing melts, which makes it a nice cool place to step into from the street. We’ve got a few regular customers from the apartments around Gotri Road who stop by almost every week. We don't have a fancy factory, just a kitchen and some basic tools. Sometimes the batches don't turn out looking perfect, but they always taste the way they should. We do all the packaging ourselves, sitting at the small table in the corner when the shop is quiet. It’s a slow process, but we aren't in a hurry. We just like being part of the community here and seeing the kids' faces when they come in to pick out a treat after school. It’s a lot of chocolate to smell all day, but we don't mind it too much. We just keep the shop open and see who comes through the door next.
