Shree Ganesh Fatakada Mart

Shree Ganesh Fatakada Mart is tucked away in Mahadev Gali, near the Bajvada Khatripole area off Malleshpalya Main Road. This part of Asoj is full of narrow lanes and old buildings. Our shop is quite packed, especially when we are getting ready for the big festival seasons. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling filled with different kinds of firecrackers. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes stacked in the aisles. We have to be very careful with how we store everything because of safety, so no smoking or open flames are allowed anywhere near here. During the busy months, the shop gets really crowded and it can get quite hot and loud with everyone talking at once. We spend hours counting out items and making sure the bundles are tied correctly. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see the same few faces every time you visit. We don't have any fancy catalogs. You just walk in and look at what’s on the shelves. Sometimes we have to move things around just to make a path for people to walk. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but we’ve been doing this in Bajvada for a long time and we know how to handle the rush.
