We are located in Karelibaug, right near the Khaswadi Samsan. It’s a place that most locals can find easily if they are coming from the main road. Our shop is full of metal, old tools, and the constant smell of solder and coolant. Working on radiators is messy work, there is no way around it. We spend our days cleaning out gunk, fixing leaks, and testing for pressure in the tanks. It gets very hot in the shop, especially during the summer months when the engines coming in are already boiling over. We have piles of old radiator cores in the corner that we use for spare parts sometimes. It’s just a few of us here doing the work. We don't wear any uniforms, just old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty or greasy. People bring in their cars or trucks when they have cooling problems that won't go away. We take a look, tell them what’s wrong, and get to work as soon as we can. There’s always water on the floor and the sound of the air compressor running in the background. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like the pace. We’ve been in this spot for a long time now. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside when we take a tea break. The area around the Samsan is usually busy with traffic and people passing through. We just keep doing what we know how to do, which is keeping engines from overheating.
