Amolee Valves & Fittings Manufacturing Co

Our shop, Amolee Valves & Fittings Manufacturing Co, is right on Palace Road in the Sun Moon Building. It’s an old part of the city near Laheripura New Road, so the streets are narrow and always crowded with people and rickshaws. The building itself has a lot of character, though the elevators are a bit cranky sometimes. We’ve got our workspace set up with all the lathes and tools we need for the valve work. It’s a bit dark inside because the windows are small, so we have to keep the tube lights on all day long. There are metal scraps and heavy fittings sitting in bins all over the floor. You have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a pipe. Palace Road is a great place to be because everything you need is just a short walk away, but the noise of the market outside never really stops. We start work early before the heat gets too bad in the afternoon. The air in the workshop usually smells like machine oil. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. Most of us just wear old shirts that we don’t mind getting stained. We’ve been in the Sun Moon building for quite some time now. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing in a very busy part of Vadodara.
