Cafe Coffee Day

This Cafe Coffee Day is tucked away in the Wadi area. It’s a bit different from the ones you see in the big malls. It feels more like a local hangout because of where we are located. The furniture is the standard stuff you find in these cafes, maybe a little worn in the corners from people sitting here for hours. We get a lot of students and people who just need a place to sit with their laptops. It’s not always quiet, especially when the espresso machine is running or when a group comes in after work. The windows look out onto the street in Wadi, so there is always something to watch. We keep the place cool with the AC because it gets quite hot outside. I’ve been working here for a few months now, and you start to recognize the regulars who come in at the same time every day. We don’t do anything special, just make the drinks the way we were taught. Sometimes we run out of certain snacks by the evening if it’s been a busy day. The floor gets a bit dusty from the street outside, but we try to sweep it when we have a quiet moment. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town. People just come here to take a break from the noise of Wadi. We don't have many staff members, usually just two of us on a shift.
