Cafe Coffee Day

Cafe Coffee Day is in Sayajigunj. It is a spot where a lot of students and office workers come by. The coffee machine is the heart of the place and it makes a loud hissing sound all day long. I work the counter and spend a lot of time wiping down the tables. We have these big windows that look out onto the street, so you can see all the traffic while you sit. The chairs are a bit worn out from so many people using them over the months. Sayajigunj is a lively area, and it can get quite loud inside when the place is full. I have to keep track of the orders and make sure the milk is stocked up. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up and customers complain, but I just tell them I will try to reset it. We don't have a fancy story about our history. We just serve coffee and some sandwiches. The floor needs a lot of sweeping because people bring in dirt from the sidewalk. It is a busy job, especially during the monsoon when everyone wants to stay dry. I like the smell of the beans when I open a new bag. It is just a regular cafe where people come to hang out or wait for someone. We just keep the lights on and the coffee hot for whoever comes in.
