Balaji Cold Drinks

If you are walking around the Old Chhan area near the Roses Garden, you will probably see Balaji Cold Drinks. We are right at A 2 in the Ambawadi Gokul Galaxy building. It is a nice spot because the garden across the street brings in a lot of people, especially in the evenings when the sun starts to go down. Our shop is mostly filled with large refrigerators that hum all day and night. We have to keep an eye on the power because if the cooling stops, we have a real problem on our hands. The floor is usually a bit wet from the ice or people coming in after a rain. We stock all the usual stuff like sodas, bottled water, and some snacks that people like to grab while they are out for a walk. It gets very crowded on the weekends when families come to the park. Sometimes it feels like we are just moving crates of bottles back and forth for hours. We have a small counter where we stand, and there is usually a pile of empty crates stacked up in the corner waiting to be picked up. It is not a complicated business, just keeping things cold and making sure the shelves are full. The neighborhood is quiet in the mornings, which is when we do most of our cleaning and restocking before the afternoon heat kicks in.
