Ashok Kumar U Joshi

I’ve been around Wadi for a good amount of time now. My place is Ashok Kumar U Joshi, right across from the Celebration Guest House. If you know the area, you know it stays pretty busy with people coming and going. Shastri Baug is just a short walk away, which is nice when you need a bit of a break from the noise of the street. It’s a familiar corner for most folks in this part of town. I don’t really do much fancy stuff here. It’s just me doing what I do every day. The guest house is a good landmark because everyone asks where that is first. Sometimes the traffic out front gets a bit much, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home or going out for a walk. I’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but Wadi still feels like Wadi. It has that local feel that you don’t get in the newer parts of the city. Being near the garden helps keep things grounded. I usually open up in the morning and stay until things quiet down later on. It isn't a big corporate setup or anything like that. Just a local spot where people know my name and I know theirs. If you’re walking past the guest house or coming from the Baug side, you’ll see where I’m at. It’s simple, really. Just a regular day-to-day life here in this little corner of the world.
