Ashok Industries

Ashok Industries is a small setup located at A2/66 in the GIDC Estate in Makarpura. It’s a typical industrial plot, nothing fancy. We’ve been here in Makarpura for a long time. It’s a good area because there are so many other workshops nearby, so if we need a specific tool or a bit of help, there’s always someone around. We mainly manufacture basic industrial components. We don't have a huge staff, just a few reliable people who know how to handle the lathes and drills. The shop floor is cramped because we try to fit as much as we can in the space we have. It’s usually hot and smells like oil and metal, but that’s what a real workshop is like. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or a PR team. Most of our work comes from local businesses who know we can get things done. We take the specs they give us and we do our best to match them. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We show up, we do the work, and we go home. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the whole day fixing them instead of producing anything. That’s just how it is when you’re running a small unit. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on and the guys paid for their time. It's a living, and we know our way around the metal.
