Ambica Tools & Hardware is tucked away at 903/3/G5 in the Makarpura Pydhonie area. If you know Mandvi, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. We’ve been operating out of this small space for quite some time. It's mostly just shelves full of heavy metal things and boxes of screws. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it's hot outside. We spend a lot of our morning moving stock around so people can actually walk through the aisles. It isn't a huge showroom or anything like that. Just a regular hardware store where things are stacked high. We deal with a lot of local builders and people fixing up their own houses nearby. Sometimes the address 903/3/G5 is a bit hard for delivery drivers to spot on the first try. You have to look for the sign. We aren't big on decorations here. It’s all about the tools. Every day is pretty much the same routine of opening the shutters and checking what needs restocking. We've got a lot of different bits and pieces, probably more than we have room for. People come in asking for things we haven't seen in months, and then we have to go hunting in the back. It’s a bit dusty, but that’s just how a hardware shop is. We like the neighborhood, even with all the noise. It feels like a real community around Pydhonie. We keep things simple and just focus on getting through the day’s work.
