Alankar

Alankar is located right in the Devpushp Complex on Magrath Road. Manjalpur is a decent area to be in, though finding parking near the complex can be a real headache some days. Our shop isn't very large, just two units, but we make it work. Usually, we arrive early to get things set up before the lunch crowd starts wandering around the complex. It gets a bit quiet in the middle of the afternoon when it’s too hot for anyone to be out, so that’s when we usually catch up on paperwork or organize the back shelves. We don’t have a big corporate office or a board of directors. It’s just a couple of us making decisions on the fly. If we think we need to stock something new, we just order a small batch and see what happens. Sometimes it sells, sometimes it sits there for months gathering dust. That’s just the nature of having a small business. We try to keep things honest and straightforward. No one here is going to give you a long sales pitch. We just show you what we have and let you decide. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor has a few scuffs from over the years, but it feels like home to us. It’s a practical place for practical people. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few blocks away.
