Nileshwari Mahida

I am Nileshwari Mahida and my office is at 202 25 Alkapuri in the Swastik Society. This place is situated right behind the railway station, so you can hear the trains whistling and the announcements over the loudspeakers all day long. Some people find it noisy, but I’ve grown used to it and it almost feels like background music now. Being in Alkapuri is nice because it’s a central part of town, but Swastik Society is a bit quieter than the main road. My workspace is inside one of the apartments and it’s very casual. I have a desk, a laptop, and a shelf full of folders and books. The balcony has a few plants that I try to keep alive, though I often forget to water them when I’m busy with work. There’s a kitchen nearby so I can make my own tea whenever I want, which is a nice perk of working here. Usually, I’m just here by myself or with one other person, handling various tasks and making phone calls. The society has some nice trees, so it feels a bit more relaxed than a standard office building. Sometimes the security guard at the gate asks too many questions of visitors, but that’s just his job. It’s a comfortable, low-key spot where I can get things done without too much fuss or interruption from the outside world.
