Shivayoagro Farmer Producer Company Limited

This group runs out of Ved Prakash's place at number 104 in Utra Dakauli. It’s a quiet spot in Unnao, and most of us have lived here our whole lives. We decided to call it Shivayoagro because it sounded right for what we do with the land. We aren't some big corporation from the city. We’re just a bunch of farmers from Dakauli who realized we could do more if we talked to each other. Sometimes we meet on the porch or in the small office space we have. There’s always a lot to discuss, like how the soil is doing or where we can get better prices for what we grow. The rains haven't been very predictable lately, so that’s been a big topic of conversation. We handle things as they come. If someone needs a hand with their tractor or help getting their grain to the market, we try to see what we can do. It’s hard work being out in the sun all day, but it’s what we know. We aren't looking to get famous or anything. We just want to make sure our families can keep farming for another generation. Most of the time it's just us drinking tea and figuring out the next steps for the planting season. It’s a plain way of living, but it works for us. We're just trying to get by and help the community out when we can. It’s not much more complicated than that really.
