Shree Kodu Durgambika Primary School

We’re a primary school located in the Panjimar area, right in Kodupanjimar in Udupi. It’s a small place, and most people here know where we are. We focus on the younger kids, so the atmosphere is usually quite lively and a bit loud. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where children can spend their day. We have a few classrooms and a lot of colorful posters on the walls that the kids made themselves. Because it’s Udupi, the weather can be a bit damp or very hot, but we keep things as dry and clean as we can. The teachers here are patient because you have to be when you’re dealing with little ones all day long. We teach them the basics like reading, counting, and a bit of drawing. There’s no big corporate board here, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We spend a lot of time talking to parents at the gate when they come to pick up their children. It’s a very local thing. We don't have a huge budget for marketing, so we just rely on people knowing who we are and what we do. It’s simple, honest work, and we enjoy seeing the kids learn their first words and numbers. Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: just helping the local kids get a start in life before they move on.
