You can find us in Udupi, right near the Kalsanka area. We are directly opposite the Wine Gate, which is a landmark most people around here know. We work with flowers and doing up places for weddings or small parties. Every morning starts quite early because that’s when the fresh loads come in. The shop smells like lilies and roses, but also just a bit of damp earth and stems. We’ve got buckets of water everywhere and snippets of ribbon on the floor. It’s not a very tidy business, but it’s nice to work with things that look good. We don't have a fancy catalog; usually, people just tell us what they like or show us a picture on their phone. Udupi is a small enough place that we know many of the families who come to us. We just sit on our stools, thorns and all, and put the bouquets together. Sometimes the traffic near Kalsanka gets backed up, especially on weekends, so we have to plan our deliveries carefully. It’s hard on the hands, and my fingers are usually stained or have a few small cuts. But we’ve been doing this for years, and it’s just our daily routine. We don't put on any airs; we just provide the flowers and the decorations as people need them for their special days.
