Dahalaxmi Enterprises

Dahalaxmi Enterprises is situated on the Alevoor Manipal Road in Udupi. This part of the world is usually quite green, though it gets incredibly rainy during the monsoon months. Our shop sits right on the main stretch that connects Alevoor to Manipal. We handle a variety of items here, mostly stuff that local people and small businesses need for their daily work. It’s not a fancy showroom. It is more of a practical space where we keep our stock and talk to the people who drop by. We see a lot of students and workers passing through on their way to Manipal. The days usually start fairly slow, giving us time to organize the shelves and check what needs to be ordered. By afternoon, it gets a bit busier. We don’t have a massive team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for something specific, we usually know exactly which corner it’s tucked into. Working here in Udupi feels a bit different than the big cities. People take their time to chat, and we know many of our customers' families. We just try to keep the items people need in stock so they don't have to travel too far. It is a simple, honest way to make a living. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just run our little enterprise here and keep things moving as best as we can.
