JCBM College is tucked away in the Manipal Pavilion, specifically at Flat 202 on Vibhudhapriya Nagar First Main in Udupi. Being in a building like this makes us a bit different from the sprawling campuses you might see elsewhere, but it works well for our students. We are right in the heart of things here in Karnataka. The college life here is pretty grounded. We have our classrooms and a small area for the office work. Most of our students are local or come from nearby towns. Udupi is a student town anyway, so there’s always a good energy around. We don’t have a massive canteen, so a lot of the kids go to the local shops nearby for their snacks. Our faculty members are mostly people who have been teaching in this region for a long time. They know the subjects well and just focus on getting through the modules. It’s a very no-nonsense kind of place. We don’t put up big billboards or anything. We just keep the doors open and make sure the classes happen on time. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the hallways during the break, but everyone knows each other. It’s a practical choice for people living in the area who want to get their degree without a lot of extra fluff. We just do the work and try to help the students understand their lessons. It's a simple, honest approach to higher education in our city.
