Bright Institute Of Career Guidance

Our place is at Rama Mandira on the Udupi Manipal Road in Kunjibettu. If you know where the MGM Ladies Hostel is, we are right across from it. Udupi is a busy place, and this road is always full of students and people heading toward Manipal. We have been here at Bright Institute of Career Guidance for a while now. Our office is pretty straightforward. We have a few desks, some chairs for visitors, and stacks of brochures and forms. People come in looking for a bit of direction about what to do next with their lives. We listen to them and look through their papers. It’s a lot of talking and looking at schedules. The office isn't very large, so it can get a bit cramped when more than a few people show up at once. We usually have a fan running to keep the air moving because it gets warm in Kunjibettu. You can hear the buses and bikes going past on the main road all day long. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; it’s just us doing the work. We keep our own files and answer the phone when it rings. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We spend a lot of time just sitting across from people and trying to figure things out together. There are always tea cups on the desks and pens that run out of ink right when you need them.
