About Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. Public School – Education in Udham Singh Nagar
Out here in Dewarchaur Kham, the air feels a bit different than in the city. Our school in Haldwani sits right where you can start to feel the hills. It’s a large enough place with plenty of rooms for all the grades. We have the usual stuff you’d expect in a public school, like rows of wooden benches and blackboards that are a bit dusty from the chalk. Every morning, the yard fills up with kids in their uniforms. Some of them have been coming here since they were very small. It’s a secondary school, so we see them grow up and eventually leave for college. The staff room is always a bit of a mess with tea cups and registers. We have a playground that gets a lot of use, though the grass struggles in the heat. There’s a lot of chatter during the lunch breaks. We don't really do anything fancy; we just stick to the schedule. Parents stop by the office to pay fees or ask about their kids' progress. It’s a steady rhythm. The 263139 area is quiet mostly, except when the school bell rings. We’ve got a few trees for shade, and that’s where most people gather. It’s just a place where teachers teach and students try to get through their exams. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a local school in the neighborhood. We make sure the water coolers are filled up every morning before the classes start and the heat sets in for the afternoon.
