Upendra Tater

Down in the Ambamata Scheme at 42 - B, that is where I have my workspace. Upendra Tater is the name on the small board outside. This area is fairly quiet, which is exactly how I like it for getting things done. I have been at this address for several years, and the office has slowly filled up with all the things you need for this kind of work. There are shelves full of old files and some samples that have gathered a bit of dust. I don’t believe in having a shiny, corporate-looking office because it doesn't change the quality of what I do. My desk is a big old thing made of dark wood, and it’s where I sit from early morning until the sun goes down. People from the Ambamata area know they can just drop by if they have a question or need some help with a project. We usually sit and talk for a bit before getting down to the details. The building itself is nothing special, just a solid structure that keeps the rain out and gives me a place to think. I handle the day-to-day operations myself, from answering the door to finishing the final reports. It can be a bit tiring being a one-man show sometimes, but I like knowing exactly what is going on with every single job. It’s a modest way to work, and it suits me just fine.
