Shreeshivpujan Krishak Producer Company Limited is based out of Chakmedani No. 1. Being a producer company means we are mostly a group of people from this area who decided to work together to handle our agricultural business better. It is not a very complicated operation when you look at it. We spend our time figuring out how to manage what we grow and how to get it to the people who need it. Living and working in Chakmedani means you get to know just about everyone after a while. We don't have any big marketing slogans or anything like that. It is mostly just us sitting around a table or out in the sun making decisions about the different crops we are dealing with this year. Sometimes the harvest is really good and other times it is a real struggle with the weather, but that is just part of the life we have chosen here. We deal with the day-to-day things like seeds and tools and trying to get a fair price for whatever the members are producing. It takes a lot of talking to keep everyone on the same page. You won't find any shiny office buildings or corporate lobbies here. We just focus on the work that needs doing today so we can come back and do it again tomorrow. It’s a quiet kind of business but it matters to the folks who are part of it.
