If you head down to Sukher, you’ll find us right opposite the Ekling Nath petrol pump. It’s a handy spot because the trucks can fuel up right there before they head out on the highway. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now. The office isn’t much to look at, just some files and a cooler for water, but it serves its purpose. My brother and I usually take turns being here to answer the phone and talk to the customers who stop by. Most of our work is just moving goods across the state. We know a lot of the local drivers around Sukher and they know us. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually try to get the heavy loading done early in the morning or later when the sun goes down. There’s always a bit of grease and oil around, which comes with the territory of running a transport company. We don’t use any fancy tracking software, just phone calls and knowing the roads well. It’s a straightforward business. We take the orders, find a truck, and send it on its way. Sometimes there are delays with the weather or the mountain passes, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t make a big fuss about things. Just steady work every day from this little corner of Sukher near the pump.
